PRODUCTION ZONE
The vineyards are in the hills between Cormons and San Floriano del
Collio, a zone with good exposure and ideal temperature swings which
favour the formation of aromatic precursors in the grapes.
ALTITUDE
150–250 metres above sea level.
TYPE OF SOIL
Marl and sandstone soil known locally as '”ponca” and in which marine
fossils are often found.
TRAINING SYSTEM
Guyot and cappuccina.
HARVEST
By mid-September.
WINEMAKING METHOD
The de-stemmed grapes undergo soft pressing and the first-pressing
must is then fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks. Once the
residual sugars have been used up, the wine is left to settle in steel in
contact with noble lees.
SENSORY PROFILE
Intense straw-yellow hue; a well-rounded aroma opening with a fragrance
of ripe pear hinting at nut and closing with ripe melon ; soft and
harmonious flavour, against a back palate of yellow-fleshed fruit.

13 %.
RECOMMENDED CELLARING
18 months.
FOOD PAIRING
White meats, roast rabbit, fish and cuttlefish stews, cold cuts
This wine is a bright golden yellow in colour and has engaging fragrances of wild honey, walnut husks and dry flowers. The flavour is dry, smooth, creamy and fresh.
